A traditional Korean steak marinade tenderizes hand-trimmed pieces of coulotte steak before it gets seared on the grill. A classic Kalbi beef glaze adds another layer of flavor while the meat is sizzling. The steak then gets sliced thin and served in a salad of butter lettuce wedges, matchstick carrot, daikon, and red bell peppers. Kimchi style cucumbers are tossed in for a sharp contrast, and the flavors meld together with the addition of the creamy dressing spiked with Gochujaro, a fiery Korean chili powder.
