Caesar Salad with Yogurt Dressing

romaine hearts, parmesan cheese, pinenut crumble
4.2 stars
(139 reviews)
We’ve lightened up the classic Caesar salad thanks to our house-made yogurt dressing. It’s still got the required yum factors of anchovies, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and minced garlic, but it’s not quite so tough on the calories. Spoon it over crisp romaine lettuce, sprinkle with some of the grated Parmesan cheese, and add some of our pine nut crumble for a bit of crunch.

It was OK, but sadly not even close when compared to the far more caloric but absolutely heavenly regular caesar dressing.

The dressing was so thin, it didn't adhere to the lettuce-even when I tried dipping the leaves. And there was so little flavor in the dressing, whatever calorie saving there is versus the regular Caesar doesn't seem worth it. Croutons were poor

Overpriced. It should cost $2 max.

$8 for one piece of lettuce?

I've ordered the Caesar salad several times and was shocked at the poor quality of my salads this time. The romaine was of poor quality and the portion was skimpy... my guests and I did not eat the salads and we composted them.

Regular Caesar is much tastier. This was bland.

The dressing and pine nut crumble were very tasty, but the romaine hearts were limp, sparse, and not up to the task of supporting them. Would be much better with kale or spinach greens,
