Carbonara is a can’t-miss Italian classic typically made with spaghetti, eggs, grated cheese, and bacon. Our interpretation kicks things up a notch; we’ve added cream and chicken for a heartier, more filling dish, and balanced out our flavors with basil, peas, and lemon to cut the richness and keep things bright and lively. All you need is basic kitchen equipment (pots/pans, bowls, a knife, salt, pepper, oil) and around 15 minutes to create this Italian dinner for two.

Big meal. Enough for the whole family.

Huge portions, flavorful, took two people a half hour to prepare. Goes well with a crisp chardonnay or an SB

The heavy cream makes this dish much too rich.

This was pretty yummy. The portions are huge. It would work better for 3 people. The instructions didn’t say to salt the pasta water, but I couldn’t imagine pasta without salt. I salted the water, and the dish seemed just about perfect (salt wise).
