A rich, cumin and ancho chile-infused crimson soup gets studded with cubed chicken breast, crisp cabbage, citrusy cilantro, and crunchy corn chips. Heat up the corn tortillas to serve alongside for dunking. All you need is basic kitchen equipment (pots/pans, bowls, a knife, salt, pepper, oil) and around 15 minutes to create this delicious hearty soup for two.

This should be called chicken flavored mash. There is nothing soupy about it nor are there tortillas. Flavors were ok. May have left a better memory had customer service given Munchery credit for the faulty meal.

Flavor was good but as others have noted, the instructions missed the step of adding water to the soup base to create broth. Also, it did not include the extra tortillas that the recipe called for.

Clearly needed 2 cups of water though instructions gave no mention. Calls for too much lime juice. Taste before you squeeze in the wedges. Two very small (about 3” diameter) corn tortillas. Should be more if they’re going to be that tiny.

It seems that the instruction are missing adding more water to the soup base. Without this, the cabbage wouldn’t cook and there wouldn’t be enough food. Also, the order was missing (at least some) tortillas and one of the radishes was overgrown.
3 Stars
Not enough broth.

Hardly any liquid

The flavor of the soup was great. I would include sour cream next time, also I only received two tortillas, not four per the instructions. Also, I cooked the chicken prior to putting in the soup and diced the chunks into smaller pieces.

I felt like the instructions didn't match the ingredients packed....

I think we were supposed to add water as there was very little soup. But it was not in the instructions. Missing tortillas. Only had two for the strips. Instructions said there should be more.

There was only a cup of liquid (soup base) provided. 1/2 c per person of liquid does not make a soup. Also, way too limey with a whole lime in there. And, the instructions say to heat the extra tortillas to eat with extra tortillas though
3 Stars
Chicken was overlooked when you followed cooking instructions and taste was good, not great.

It seemed like it was short on the liquid soup component - the end result did not look like the picture and made for a smallish portion. Still tasted good, though. There were also fewer tortillas than were described in the instructions.

1)Instructions forgot to include the need to add water. 2)Instructions refer to two tortillas to be cut into strips and others to be warmed up whole, but only two were in package 3)two lines included but only two mentioned in recipe.

There was 2 tbs of "soup base" how is this soup? Nowhere does it say add water etc.. Not even enough liquid for one person to eat the tiniest bowl. In directions says cut 2 tortillas up, use others for dipping- only came with 2 not 4 like described.

No soup at all. Had to eat with a fork

The base seemed to be a smaller volume - the soup was more like a chunky stew. One of the radishes was moldy. Overall good flavor and easy prep!
