This salad is a crisp kaleidoscope of flavor, merging colorful, expertly-sliced cabbage, jicama, and carrots with naturally tart grapefruit. A dressing of tangy vinegar, garlic and a hint of Thai chili pepper adds heat that counters the sweetness of crunchy candied pecans. Add each to taste for a light and vibrant meal that's as sweet—or spicy—as you like it.

What People Are Saying

2 Stars
Wasn’t expecting it to be so spicy
3 Stars
More of a side than a meal.
3 Stars
a little too bitter for my husband

Adding more grapefruit, nuts, dressing and possibly chicken would make this more appealing and worth the price. It tastes good but there isn’t much to it. Very little jicama or nuts. Mostly cabbage. Kind of a rip off given how much cabbage costs.
5 Stars
Favorite salad ever. Stingy on the dressing which has a little bite to it that contrasts with the sour grapefruit and sweet pecans.. We add grapefruit and more glazed pecans to it.

Needs way more of the nuts

Way too spicy!
1 Stars
This dish is unable to be eaten because it’s way to f-bomb spicy. The menu does not indicate spice at all, no Chile pepper icon.

Absolutely fantastic. Could have used more walnuts. I added roast chicken. Great flavors.
1 Stars
Wrong order entirely! I ordered the pho and got a jicama salad. Le sad.
2 Stars
Pretty spicy and that is the only taste. Lots of cabbage.
3 Stars
Wasn’t that interesting. Needs radishes or other ingredients to add interest. Too much cabbage.
3 Stars
Good taste but too spicy.
3 Stars
The main ingredient, cabbage, should be mentioned in the title of this salad
1 Stars
Wasn’t the same as at out the door/slanted door.
4 Stars
Crisp and refreshing salad. At 310 calories, this should be a side salad and maybe for two because it takes a lot of chewing to get through the huge amount of cabbage. Would have enjoyed a little more grapefruit.
2 Stars
I was disappointed. Ingredients and flavors just didn’t taste good together. Needs some adjusting.

If you name this Grapefruit & Jicama Salad, then it should have more than 3 small slivers of grapefruit. The included grapefruit was more of a garnish's amount. There was also a Vietnamese herb (can't recall name) not listed in Ingredients section
5 Stars

Fabulous! Wish it came with more dressing.
3 Stars
Could have used some other spice / flavoring to make it better. Slightly bland. But right amount of crunch and dressing.

Too spicy

This is a good meal that keeps for a solid day after you receive it. If you order meals two or three at a time this is a great choice for your second day
3 Stars
The same size salad used to be offered as a side salad, now its only offered as an entree and costs more. Good but not a well balanced meal on its own.
2 Stars
The dish is fine but why not mention that it's spicey? Some people can't have spicey food
