Green Goddess Salad

soft lettuces, spring vegetables, pickled onion
4.3 stars
(12 reviews)
"Green Goddess" salad is an American classic from San Francisco's Palace Hotel circa 1923. It was Chef Philip Roemer's tribute to actor George Arliss and his hit play, "The Green Goddess." Tarragon and chives play off the creaminess of the mayonnaise, and sour cream tames the classic flavors of anchovies and tarragon vinegar in this tasty version!

I like vegetables, but am very picky about salads so maybe this is how a GGS is supposed to taste and I don't get it. But two of the green items in there - one was bitter, and one was mostly stalks. This just didn't do it for me.
