Brisket is braised in red wine until tender. Slices are served with kasha varnishkes, a traditional Ashkenazi Jewish blend of buckwheat groats and bowtie pasta with button mushrooms, fried shallots, duck fat, and chicken broth. On the side is tsimmes, a mix of oven-roasted butternut squash, carrots, and sweet potatoes cooked with OJ, honey, golden raisins, and dried cranberries.

Ok overall had to add some salt. Needed more of the sweet potatoe mixture. Only got a tablespoon full and the raisins and cranberries were no where to be seen. Munchery give people a decent amount of food not an amount that looks like you ran out.

That fine fork-tender brisket was to die for! Would love to see it offered from time to time year round, with varying sides, like they do with the short ribs.

This was a verrrry tasty dinner! The brisket was so tender I didn't need a knife! My only gripe is at least half the brisket was inch of fat for each inch of meat. Great flavor and juicy. Both sides were very good.
