There's a reason this is one of the most popular Indian dishes in the world. Yogurt-marinated chicken is served in a creamy butter-tomato sauce scented with ginger, cardamom, fenugreek, and garam masala. On the side, a cucumber salad with chile peppers, peanuts, and tomatoes for a burst of fresh flavors.

What People Are Saying

This dish is very tasty. It's creamy, filled with flavor. When you add the garnish of chopped peanuts, cucumber, relish the contrasting textures finishes off this great perfectly.
4 Stars
The chicken was extremely tasty. As good or better than I've had in restaurants. Didn't love the side salad.
1 Stars
Bland flavor. I also bit into a bad piece of chicken fat/cartilage? Very disappointing.
5 Stars
Loved this! Delicious!
2 Stars
As a onion hater, the salad went automatically to the trash since it's all onion, but the curry sauce also tasted really weird. One of the worst meal I've had by far from munchery.
4 Stars
The chicken was nice and tender
1 Stars
Not much flavor
5 Stars
Yum!!!

Tasted like we ordered it from our favorite Indian food restaurant!
3 Stars
It was a little bland
2 Stars
The sauce was VERY bland.
4 Stars
Would like to see "heat" option.

This was so bad, we threw it out. The peanut salad was pretty good, but the butter chicken wasn't edible. Perhaps it's just a different style of butter chicken we aren't used to, but I would never order this again and suggest others stay away.
3 Stars
More rice please!
2 Stars
The "spicy cucumber & peanut salad"? OMG. I would call it the chopped onion salad. Hands down the worst thing I've ever had from Munchery. (Actually, it's the 1st and only bad thing I've had from Munchery). The butter chicken was OK.

Spice

Good... liked it. Seemed a touch salty but not enough to ruin the dish for me.
1 Stars
Cucumbers were old and soft. Taste was bland for an Indian dish
3 Stars
Too salty
4 Stars
Less red onion in the salad please.
3 Stars
It was listed as spicy, but was a little bland.

Somehow it seems like there has been a change of chefs. Before I took a break, I had to throw away 2 meals. I threw out half of the last meal I ordered. I would have skipped the entire meal but I had counted on serving the Indian butter chicken.
1 Stars
The spices are not right.
3 Stars
Please don't add peanuts
2 Stars
Love your food. Love Indian. Didn't love this one. Something odd in the spice.
5 Stars
Like the real thing!
3 Stars
Didn't taste like butter chicken. The chicken has to first be cooked in a tandoor and then out in the sauce. Even the sauce was not tasty. I would hold on the peanuts in the salad, made it too rich and heavy.
3 Stars
Needs more flavor
5 Stars
Delicious! One of my favorites!

Soooo good!

More Indian spices
1 Stars
Surprisingly flavorless.
2 Stars
It tasted like licorice and the rice was extra dry.
4 Stars
Chicken was super tender, great balance of sauce and rice. Would have loved a piece of naan and a cilantro garnish instead of the peanut cucumber salad, but will definitely order again.
3 Stars
Was very good last time we ordered, but this time the salad was not seasoned enough and had too many onions. The sauce for the chicken was also more pale in color and more bland than previous order.
5 Stars
Fantastic
4 Stars
Please include tamarind chutney

So good !!! Just needs more rice!! But still so good!!
1 Stars
Bland...
3 Stars
This would be a lot better if you would trim the fat off of the chicken. Also for Indian food, it was pretty bland and could use some spices.
4 Stars
Chicken was tender, the sauce has a foamy texture, not very spicy nor flavorful, salad was amazing!
5 Stars
I recently had surgery and your wonderful meals have helped immensely in the recovery process.
5 Stars
So yummy!!!! Will HAVE to order again... and again!
5 Stars
This was a very tasty dish and the spicy cucumber salad that came with it was to die for!
5 Stars
Delicious! Butter chicken was good and creamy, with large pieces of chicken. Cucumber peanut salad was a great spicy compliment.
1 Stars
The chicken was horrible. Cheap thigh chicken with skin on and chewy. If you had to use thighs trim it properly. Which also makes me question your nutrition facts??!
2 Stars
Did not like that it was dark meat and too bland. I liked the cucumber salad!
3 Stars
Wasn't impressed with the use of chicken thighs - still had some skin, etc.
5 Stars
Fantastic flavored dish and I loved the side salad.
1 Stars
You really shouldn't microwave the big chunks of chicken, they get slimy
3 Stars
Less fatty chicken. Adding a piece of naan would be awesome.
3 Stars
The butter chicken gets 4 1/2 stars. The nasty chopped onion accompaniment gets 0 stars. Please, Munchery, some nice, cooling raita (yogurt, cucumber, cilantro, lime juice) would be perfect.
5 Stars
Yum
4 Stars
Very well done. Just enough spice (I like mild) but could use a touch more rice. No worries though. I made rice the next day and ate the leftover chicken with it.
3 Stars
Was OK.
5 Stars
Delicious! Creamy sauce and not spicy!
5 Stars
The butter chicken was fantastic but there could have used a bit more rice. The salad had quiet a kick. A little more heat than medium, but easily consumed by someone else who like HOT.
