Baked Idaho whole trout with a tangy tamarind and chile sauce. I've prepared it with Asian style fried rice, onion, celery, carrots, seasonal vegetables and Chinese Gai Lan.

the trout was good, however i felt the tamarind-chile sauce was too sweet and over powered the fish so i ate it w/o it and the fried rice was super sticky.

Tender, flavorful, light, just right.

One of the most delicious meals we've had so far. Nicely deboned fish. Perfectly cooked and didn't dry at all when warmed. The rice is lovely and the veggies were good although the beans were a little tough. Will order this again!

Fish was not fresh. I'm quite disappointed cause I like whole fish. Sauce was not inspiring at all. Rice was too garlicky. Will not order this again. I think I'm feeling sick right now from the fish too.

Ok, not great. Portion size was filling. The chili sauce was too sweet. The trout itself was basically unseasoned. In a word: mediocre.

Bland, bland bland and too fishy (i.e. over cooked). Nothing delicate about this. The rice was arbitrary and the veggies were seriously undercooked - I couldn't even cut them with a serrated knife. Disappointing.

Tasty and DEBONED to boot! The gai lan was a bit stringy but a definite reorder.

Good portion of trout, the rice and greens were a great accompaniment. The tamarind chili sauce was a bit sweet for my taste, but overall a solid dish. Recommend using the oven for this over the microwave.

Yummy. Great combination of flavors

Trout was perfectly cooked. Sauce paired with the fish was spot on. Imo veggies overcooked, rice undercooked; though the ingredients per se were good.

Fishy and dry. Couldn't finish it.

Good portion. The fish was a little dry but that is probably from reheating it. I liked the sauce, used about half for the fish and saved the rest for another dish.

It appears that this fish is not pan-seared as described. It looks like it was steamed for me. The skin does not have the color as pictured. The taste is that of a steamed fish so it's not very flavorful. Don't put a lot of the sauce on it though

Great flavor but too many little bones kept me from fully enjoying this dish.

The dish was good and everything balanced well. The only things was the skin did not taste good since it's mushy.

I really wanted to like this dish! Unfortunately, because the skin was not crisped and was left on for too long, the flesh was overly fishy. In addition, there was too much tamarind in the sauce, making is particularly sour. I'm sad.

One of the best dishes that I have had on Munchery. Generous portion. The trout is fresh with no bones, and the sauce was just the right amount of sweetness. The rice was also very good. The vegetable was a bit hard and may need to be cooked longer.

excellent fish!!! boneless (impossible but yes, that's true)

Wow. One of my favorite Munchery meals now. Everything was great. I especially enjoyed the rice, which was packed with flavor!

DELICIOUS! I usually do not order without reviews but I'm glad I took a chance on this one. The meal was well-balanced, with generous serving of fish and veggies. I greatly enjoyed the rice and just wished there was more of it. Would order again!

Delicious, with fair quantity & great price. It's a whole fish, including head and eyeballs, and mostly deboned. Great rice & veggies. Only problem was that while squeezing the lime I squirted myself in the eye! Can't blame the chef for that though.
