In my home state of Texas, chili cook-offs are a rite of passage. Every family has their own recipe, and they guard it like Fort Knox. But if you're looking for the real deal, look no further than this hot bowl of chunky chili with all of the toppings you expect. The cornbread is no slouch either.

So salty I could barely finish it! And normally I love chili. : ( This seems to be a theme with the food at Munchery. WHY????? It's fresh food. It doesn't need all the salt added. Let people add salt to their own liking at home. So unhealthy.

It was incredibly salty and had to be eaten with noodles or a bland starch. The one star is for the moist and rich cornbread.

Order every time. Always good. Cornbread too.
3 Stars
It had great flavor but it was very "thin" for a chili. Could be thicker/heartier.
3 Stars
Too watery. Maybe add rice and corn?
3 Stars
Good, except a little too soupy!
4 Stars
Share what you love... The chili was delicious but the cornbread was a little dry
3 Stars
Too watery, should be labeled chili soup. I put extra cheese in to thicken it some.

Taste was fine, but it was more like soup than chil.

Really one of the few mis-fires for Munchery. The "chili" was really a watery soup, spicy but with no beans or other texture. The cornbread was dry and hard. Very disappointing.
5 Stars
The chili dry spices are well bloomed & integrated into the base. The acid to fat ratio is very well balanced, leaving no note too overwhelming. No fat after taste. A mild tomato onion flavor & heat. Excellent. A+ goes to Chef Garrett AGAIN.

Was too watery. Hardly any meat. Wouldn't order again.
2 Stars
There were no condiments... Just chili and cornbread. :(
2 Stars
Bland, there was no kick and the cornbread tastes like butter more than corn
4 Stars
Slightly bland. Had to add chili powder, then it was good.
3 Stars
Chili has a good flavor, but was more of a soup texture than a thick chili. Corn bread is bland by itself but tastes better when dipped into the chili. Could also use a bit more cheese
2 Stars
Very tasty but the sodium is off the charts.
2 Stars
Could be thicker and less salty
5 Stars
Love it. Would order again definitely.

The best chili I have ever had in this state. I liked the seasoned beef a lot!
