For the first time in eating history, you can get one of's insane recipes made for you. We’re no fools, so we chose their best, most diabolically delicious one ever to cook up: the Samoa Doughnut, a freshly fried yeast-raised doughnut gets doused with caramel before being covered by coconut created by Thrillist Recipes Editor Chef Perry Santanachote. The bottom of the doughnut is dipped in a glorious chocolate glaze that is also drizzled over the coconut on top. It’s the classic Girl Scout cookie in giant, decidedly grown-up form. Messy but tasty toppings. Donut itself more like stale dense cake than the expected yeasty treat.

The texture was very bread like. I personally prefer a more yeasty donut, which is fluffier and lighter.

Yeast-dough tasted/felt like the mid-morph between sourdough-flavoured pain de mie & almost-stale cinnamon bun. Yeast flavour was strong,sour,overpowering, and made the caramel sauce taste bitter. Chocolate glaze & coconut just couldn't compete.

it is exactly like what is on that cookie. so yes. great. what could be improved? not so thick / tall. it was hard to bite.
