Vermooont Cheese Plate

strawberry, fennel, almonds, baguette
4.3 stars
(72 reviews)
A trio of cow's milk cheeses from the dairy-happy state of Vermont: Champlain Valley Triple Creme (delicate, creamy, buttery with a fluffy white rind), Jasper Hill Farm Alpha Tolman (hearty and rich, with notes of caramelized onion), and Consider Bardwell Farm Barden Blue (aged in Murray's Cheese caves here in New York, it boasts a buttery firm paste and chocolatey undertones). Served with fennel confit, strawberry jam and toasted baguette slices (all made in-house), as well as salted almonds.

Cheese was very fresh and tasted great. Only rating three stars because portion very exceptionally small for the price paid. An additional cheese should be included or price should be slightly lowered.

No cheddar cheese but two blue cheeses

Everything was great, but there was barely any bread! For the amount of cheese provided, you would assume there would be more bread, but I had to go out and purchase more. Also, while it was tasty, I don't think I'd purchase again at this price.

I did not like any part of this dish. The toast was overly oily. The jams tasted like splenda, and the cheeses were on the stinky side, which I don't like. I also did not get any almonds.

Loved this! Great cheeses and loved all the goodies it comes with. I didn't give it 5 stars b/c the bread was so hard I could hardly eat it! I would get it again but hope the bread situation is much better.
